From April 20 to 25, 2018, representatives of the Samarkand State University took part in the university. The teacher of the department of fine arts and engineering graphics N. Zh. Mullajonova and students of Farida Turabova, Nilufara Ibrahimova and Isomiddin Kudratov came to get acquainted with the activities of Gzhel University and take part in the International Scientific Forum "Youth in Science and Creativity".
GSU`s cooperation with educational institutions of Uzbekistan is successfully developing. In 2017, a cooperation agreement was signed with the Karshi State University. Students of the Samarkand State University took part in the International Festival "Artistic Ceramics – 2017", which is held at the University of Gzhel.
In March 2018, the head of the International Relations Department, N.V. Barkalova and the Associate Professor of the Department of General Professional Arts I.V. Korshunova visited Uzbekistan and visited the professional educational institutions of the republic. Thanks to the trip, it was possible to discuss cooperation prospects with colleagues at the Samarkand State University and other universities.
Then came a return visit. At the meeting of the teacher of the faculty of professional training of the department of fine arts and engineering graphics N. Zh. Mullajonova with the dean of the Faculty of Decorative and Applied Art and Design, G.P. Moskovskaya, the prospects of implementing educational programs and joint participation in international projects of universities were discussed.
On April 25, students of the University of Samarkand took part in the International Scientific Forum "Youth in Science and Creativity", speaking on sections with reports that aroused interest, because Uzbek art is studying in the educational process of Gzhel University, including ceramics of masters from Rishtan , Gijduvan, Urgut.
A round table was held: "The dialogue of Cultures: Russia – Uzbekistan. Decorative and applied arts and folk crafts in the conditions of modern art education ". Colleagues from Samarkand presented an interesting presentation, told about the types of art that are studied at the university, about national customs and traditions. The story was supplemented by an exhibition, in the exposition of which it was possible to get acquainted with objects of life and art (caskets, miniature, toys, leather goods) and national clothes.
As part of the cultural program for the guests, an excursion was organized around the university, training and production workshops, a museum of arts and crafts. Senior lecturer of the Department of Decorative and Applied Arts, postgraduate student of GSU O.A. Pervozvanskaya held a master class for Gzhel painting.
The students of Samarkand University also showed a master class, the participants of which happily mastered the elements of the Uzbek painting.
The program was rich and fruitful, the dialogue of cultures: Russia – Uzbekistan was held!
