On May 16th, 2018, the University hosted the III Regional Forum "Stop AIDS Together!". The forum was held within the framework of the All-Russian action "STOP HIV / AIDS", timed to the World AIDS Day.
The forum was attended by representatives of health authorities, public and religious organizations involved in HIV / AIDS prevention, college and university students, athletes, activists of student self-government bodies and volunteers.
An opening speech to the forum participants, the pro-rector for educational and social work, the candidate of pedagogical sciences, E.P. Sukhodolova made.
An employee of the Ramenskoye Central District Hospital, an infectious disease specialist, a district expert on HIV infection, O. A. Kudrya, spoke about the characteristics of infection with immunodeficiency virus, methods of infection, modern methods of antiretroviral treatment, and most importantly - the need for a meaningful attitude to one’s health, health of relatives and friends .
The chairman of the Ramenskoye branch of the All-Russian public organization "Russian Red Cross" T.A. Peregudova also called on young people to protect their health.
The priest of the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin in Gzhel Ioann Marchenko cited examples from the experience of personal communication with people who are HIV-infected, spoke about the need for their moral and spiritual support, in a very simple but at the same time informative form called on students to preserve their physical and spiritual and moral health.
When organizing and preparing the event, the teachers set several tasks: to draw attention to the problem of HIV infection and AIDS, to bring to everyone correct and complete information about the main measures of disease prevention, methods of timely diagnosis of infection and the irreversibility of consequences in case of its development, to form a conscious and responsible behavior. At the end of the main program of the forum with presentation on the formation of a healthy lifestyle, the work of the sports club of GSU was made by its head the teacher of physical culture E.I. Tarasenko. Bekzod Tashbaev (second year of the faculty of social and humanitarian education), Maria Karavanova (second year of technology department) and Ivan Velikoivanenko (second course of the department of social and humanitarian education) under the guidance of the coach of the doctor of pedagogical sciences, professor, master of sports of the USSR in sambo and judo V.D. Medvedkov presented on the stage of the assembly hall demonstration performances on sambo.
On this day, the action "The Red Ribbon" was held, in memory of the victims of AIDS, the forum participants launched over 300 red balls into the sky.
In the last few years, the university has been holding talks, actions to prevent the spread of HIV infection. At the state level, much has been done to stop this dangerous virus, but everyone’s health depends on each of us. Let’s remember this!
