Gzhel University took an active part in the festival of Slavic art "Bereginya Ramenya", which was held on July 14, 2018.
The festival program was very rich and varied, for each guest there was a lesson on interest and age. The site “Slavic Compound” provided an opportunity to plunge into the life and lifestyle of our ancestors: here you could see how in the old days they forged coins, take part in the battle with soft batons, check their accuracy in archery, etc. On an improvised scene, folk groups performed and soloists, performing folklore. At «Slavic Meal» point, everyone could try traditional Russian dishes: pancakes, homemade preserves, pies. The festival’s novelty was “Fish soup at BAM” - the chefs competed in the skill of cooking fish soup, the dishes were evaluated by the guests of the festival.
As usual, there were many visitors at the site of the “Tale of Gzhel”. The atmosphere of creativity and art reigned here: workshops and exhibitions immersed guests in the fabulous world of traditional Gzhel. The university presented an exhibition from the funds of it Museum of Decorative and Applied Arts of, including student qualification works of 2018.
Particular attention of the participants and guests of the festival was attracted by the table set “Singing of Birds” by Maria Schukina, the sculptural composition “Northern Lights” by Elizabeth Sazonova, tea set “Traditional” by Daniyar Babashov. The products were made of solid high-temperature ceramic masses of chamotte and majolica. The exhibition was supplemented by an exhibition of works by students of art school No. 1 of the State University. The brightest among them are the application “Laska” by Darya Isayeva, the drawing “Lycédee” by Alexandra Kudryavtseva, the drawing “A couple” by Alina Koroleva, the drawing “Summer Forest” by Alexandra Gilazova.
A graduate of our university, and today a teacher at the art department of the GSU college, Maria Belous, conducted a master class on the traditional painting of the Gzhel flower. The head of the Ramensky District, A.N. Kulakov, became a participant of the master class and consolidated the knowledge acquired at last year «Bereginya» by writing a porcelain medal. Another, no less interesting workshop was held by M. V. Kazakova, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Education of GSU College. She taught how to make kuvadka and sun horse - dolls, which in ancient times were not only a toy, but also a talisman.
Second-year student of the Faculty of Social and Humanitarian Education Elena Trifonova and second-year student of the Faculty of Extramural Education Irina Latyeva in Russian folk costumes greeted guests, answered questions of interest to visitors.
Many residents of the Moscow region and other Russian regions who took part in the festival were able to get acquainted with the activities of the university on this day.
