Third-year students of the art department of GSU College Polina Meshkova, Elvira Makhmudova, Kamila Lebedeva, Yulia Romanova and Andrew Alisov took part in the 1st Interregional competition “Under Prince Daniel`s shadow”, which was held as part of the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the resumption of monastic life in the Holy Daniel Patriarch monastery.

The competition was attended by college students and pupils of children’s art schools. They had to not only solve the problems associated with the search for the most successful pictorial solutions, but also fill the image with a historical context. The territory of the monastic cloister with ancient temples, the atmosphere of high spirituality has become a source of creative inspiration for children. The results of this fruitful work became familiarity with the historical shrines and historical figures of the Russian state, new creative ideas that will become the basis of future works.
