From 9 to 16 August 2018 in the suburban complex “COMPUTERIYA”, located in the village of Yamyok, Tver region, the VII International Children’s Festival “Russian language and modern communications” took place, which was visited by more than 200 guests from Russia, Bulgaria, Germany, Spain, Italy , Lebanon, Latvia, Poland, Slovenia, Thailand, France, Czech Republic, Scotland.
The festival participants discussed current problems and prospects for the formation of significant positions of the Russian language in the education and upbringing of children living in different countries of the world.
College teachers M. K. Belous and I. V. Sivova showed master classes in traditional Gzhel painting. The guests of the festival got a unique opportunity to join the Russian culture, literature, art of folk art crafts.
The event included trainings on the development of speech communication, round tables, refresher courses, performances by folklore groups and sports competitions. Solving common problems, overcoming obstacles and winning, festival participants from different countries learned to understand each other better.
Gzhel University took an active part in the event. An exhibition-sale of Gzhel ceramics from porcelain, majolica and chamotte was organized under the direction of the keeper of museum collections Yu. N. Ovcharenko. The delegation of the State University carried out propaganda work. The guests of the festival got acquainted with the history and modern level of development of the Gzhel University - a unique university for the preparation of masters of folk art crafts.
