Students of the GSU are laureates of XXIII International Student Competition for the best packaging design “The Clockwork Orange - 2018”
The competition is held annually by the Tara & Pack magazine with the support of the National Confederation of Packers, the Association of Branding Companies of Russia, the Union of Designers of Russia.
The aim of the competition is to support the development in new and higher educational institutions of Russia, the CIS countries and Eastern Europe of new areas of study related to the design, design, marketing and environmental research in the field of packaging.
The jury was chaired by the chief editor of the “Packaging and Packaging” magazine I. N. Smirenny, the vice-president of the National Confederation of Packers.
Olga Kochetova, Kristina Platonova, Veronika Ryabkova, Polina Torondush, Maria Shablinskaya, who presented design projects in the nomination “Packaging for the Production of Folk Art Crafts”, took part in the competition.
The award ceremony was held in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry on September 20th, 2018. Christina Platonova was awarded with laureate diplomas for packaging for the tea pair “From Russia with Love” and Olga Kochetova for packaging for the Gzhel souvenir “Dachshund”. The students completed the work under the guidance of Professor of the Department of Decorative and Applied Art and Design, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor G. M. Huseynov. The honorary diploma was received by the department of arts and crafts and design for preparing students for the competition.
