The university has become a good tradition to encourage the best students to travel to theaters, concert halls and museums in Moscow and the Moscow region.

On September 8th, 2018, our best students, activists and foreign students attended the play "The Snowstorm" based on the story by A. S. Pushkin at the State Academic Maly Theater. This kind, a little humorous, but at the same time serious staging with the participation of popular actors Igor Petrenko, Vasily Bochkarev, Marie Marc impressed the students. The final performance was unexpected: the curtain rose, and the audience saw in the depths of the stage a symphony orchestra that performed the well-known and beloved music of George Sviridov to “The Snowstorm”.

“I like trips to the theater: the university buys tickets, orders a bus that will take students to the theater and take them home after the performance. Great! In the spring we watched the play “The Adventures of Fandorin” in the Moscow provincial theater, now “The Snowstorm” at the Maly Theater ... Pushkin`s story is familiar to everyone from school, it is often put in theaters, but each director sees this story in his own way. I really liked the version of Alexander Dubrovsky. We had good places, so we got a full impression of the actors playing, of the music played by the theater orchestra,” shared Ekaterina Bordushevich, a student at the faculty of visual arts and design, sharing her impressions.

After watching the performance, the students went on an excursion to the famous Kuskovo estate museum, which belonged to the Sheremetev family, visited the palace and the State Museum of Ceramics.

Here is how a fourth-year student Natalya Petrova talks about this:

“Of course, we, the students of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, were not the first time in Kuskovo. While still at the college of the Moscow State University, we went on an excursion along with the teacher Nina Aleksandrovna Nekrasova, and later practiced here - we made sketches of ceramic products. This time there was a sightseeing tour, we visited the greenhouse, at the exhibition of Russian porcelain. The exposition of Gzhel majolica seemed particularly interesting to us. Thanks to the university for a wonderful trip!”

The trip completed a tour of the festive capital. Moscow celebrated the City Day with fun performances and music in squares and streets.

Undoubtedly, such trips enrich the inner world of students, familiar with the culture and history of Russia.
