Gzhel University became the winner of the VIII All-Russian competition of publications for higher educational institutions "University Book – 2018"
The competition was founded by the University Book magazine in 2000 and is held to support publishing houses of universities and authors teams working for higher education. Summing up the competition, which more than 850 books was presented to, was held on September 5th, 2018 in Tomsk State University.
The University of Gzhel won the Best Publishing Project nomination for a three-volume senior researcher at the research department, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences V. V. Nikonov, written in cooperation with local historian N. P. Ushatova, “For Christ`s Enduring. Church and political repression of the 1920s – 1950s. in the territory of the Ramensky District of the Moscow Region ”, issued by the publishing department of GSU in 2016 – 2018.
The rector B. V. Ilkevich, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation, and V. V. Nikonov were awarded the Certificate of Honor in the nomination “High Culture of Publication” for the monograph “Art and Industry Education in Gzhel. 1899 – 1937 ”, published by GSU in 2014.
The expert commission assessed not only the content of the work, but also their editorial and publishing training. The contest "University Book" is of great importance in the formation and development of publishing for higher education in our country.
