Thanks to academic exchange programs, which Gzhel State University implements in conjunction with Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts and T. K. Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts a second-year students of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design Alena Shepelskaya and Ekaterina Raznitsyna are studying in Minsk, their classmates Tatyana Teterina and Alexandra Shuplyakova in Almaty. Maria Demesh and Anastasia Yukovich came from Belarus and were actively involved in their studies, from Kazakhstan - Ulzhan Elmuratova and Ermen Raimbek.
Judging by the first impressions shared by Alyona Shepelskaya from Minsk and Tatyana Teterina from Almaty, the programs of study and familiarity with folk culture and art are saturated:
“For a month now, we are in Minsk. Teachers and students helped to quickly get started and get involved in the work. We are introduced to the Belarusian culture, with various types of clays and are taught new techniques, – says Alyona Shepelskaya. – In my free time we visited several events. Impressed by the work of students of art schools and studios at the exhibition in the gallery "University of Culture". Very interesting works were shown at the exhibition of the national artist of Belarus L. D. Schemelev, which we also visited. On the day of the city in Minsk, one could see the reconstruction of medieval battles and military paraphernalia of various eras. It made the large impression.
We had a trip to Mogilev, in this city we visited the art-memorial museum of the national artist of the BSSR V. K. Byalynitsky-Birulya, visited the workshop of the artist-ceramist V. K. Zhukovsky. There is still a lot of interesting things ahead, we hope that there is enough time for everything! ”
“Alexandra Shuplyakova and I were very lucky,” says Tatyana Teterina. – We are in sunny Kazakhstan, in the city of Almaty!
The academy was most impressed by the students jewelry. They make incredible beauty products. I think we are lucky that we can learn how to make not only ceramics, but also metal products.
In the free time from study we get acquainted with the city, we take part in various events. They visited the Kazakh Kasteev State Museum of Arts, visited the exhibition of student works in the park of the first president of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in the amusement park Alibi city park.
We all love it here. We hope that the semester will be fruitful".
