On October 28th, 2018 students of Gzhel State University took part in the inter-university tournament "IV Student Cup of Russia - 2018 in intellectual games", organized by Moscow Center for Intellectual Games "Sirius" (Moscow). The tournament was attended by 50 teams, represented by educational organizations in Moscow and the Moscow region, as well as other regions of the Russian Federation.

The tournament was attended by 50 teams, represented by educational organizations in Moscow and the Moscow region, as well as other regions of the Russian Federation.
The team of Gzhel State University "Gzhel-Voyage" was represented by second-year students of Faculty of Social and Humanitarian Education in the field of tourism. Students Yaroslav Borisov, Igor Borisov, Sergey Sukhov, Ksenia Belik, Artem Sorokin, Kristina Fadeeva adequately spoke at this serious inter-university event and received a diploma for their active participation and high level of training.
At the first qualifying stage, Gzhel Voyage competed with eight teams and reached the semi-finals. Our students were active, boldly answered questions, arguing for their point of view. The students of the GSU had an unquestionable advantage in matters relating to the thematic block “Geography”, knowledge of countries, cities, including the capitals of the world. Serious attitude and morale helped to maintain a powerful support group, one of the biggest at the event, because the entire student group came to support their fellow students.
From the Council of the Russian Association of Intellectual Clubs to the scientific leader of the Gzhel-Voyage team, head of the department of social and cultural activities and tourism, candidate of geographical sciences, associate professor O.A. Mechkovska expressed gratitude for the support of the intellectual movement, active, fruitful cooperation and high results of the team of Gzhel State University.
