On October 31st, 2018, an exciting event for newcomers of Faculty of Social and Humanitarian Education took place in the assembly hall of the Gzhel State University!

At all times, customs and traditions of students, were an integral part of studying at the university, just as compulsory as attending lectures, writing term papers or passing exams. It is known that student life can not be called carefree and easy. Maybe because students strive to diversify their everyday lives and to distract themselves from their studies, and they have their own interesting traditions. One of them is dedication of freshmen to students.

On behalf of the university administration, the Vice-Rector for Social Work, Honored Teacher of the Russian Federation, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences E. P. Sukhodolova made a greeting speech. The Dean of the Faculty of Social and Humanitarian Education, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor N. N. Uvarova, in her address to first-year students, told about the prospects for studying at the faculty and handed the chairperson of the student council of the faculty E. Loginova, the symbol of science and knowledge – owl performed by students of the faculty of arts and crafts and design in university workshops.

The event was organized by students specialized in social and cultural activities under the guidance of N. S. Amambaeva, senior teacher of the social-cultural activities and tourism chair.

What is interesting and original prepared by the organizers of the holiday? They offered the intellectual game “Where is the logic?” The freshmen had to guess the charades, puzzles, riddles and for each correct answer to get a nut as a reward, symbolizing the granite of science. Freshmen "perfectly well" showed logic in assignments and came up with a response word - homework. The guys prepared presentations, skits, songs and even dances, in one word - there are many talents in our first year!

During the event, the results of a photo contest dedicated to the day of tourism “Traveling in Russia”, which was held in social networks from September 20 to October 20, were also summed up. Dean of the Faculty N. N. Uvarova presented diplomas to the winners: Elizaveta Bondarenko, Anastasia Ryabova, Tikhona Pismenova, Darya Kuznichenko, Irina Kalyashina.

It turned out a wonderful holiday - a solemn, fun, with inventions for newly minted students, memorable for a lifetime. They were getting ready for it long and thoroughly, and all this in order to give an opportunity to freshmen to feel the importance of such an event - joining the student fraternity.
