From November 7th to November 9th, 2018, the VII School of the student asset “The PROmotion” gathered the most enterprising students of junior terms.

The goals of this School are the development of student activities and the involvement of new students in the social and active life of the university. This project of GSU joint student council has been implemented since 2011. In order to become a participant, first-year students had to submit an application indicating their achievements and skills in various fields. The selection was carried out by the joint council and agreed with the deans, heads of departments, curators.

The opening featured a theatrical production, timed to the 100th anniversary of the Komsomol. This is not accidental, because the history of the Komsomol organization of the Gzhel silicate-ceramic technical school is a great page in life of many generations of students and young teachers. This traditions are alive, the university has a lot of experience in organizing of social work. Today it is built on the basis of the Strategy for the development of education in the Russian Federation for the period up to 2025 and the concept of the educational work of the university. Proof of this are victories in various contests and festivals.

At the Asset School, first-year students got acquainted with the structure of the student council, took part in trainings on the development of communication skills, learned what social design is, etc. Their coaches and supervisors are Arina Nurtdinova, Alina Gornostaeva, Veronika Darcheva, Alexandra Parshina, Daria Sokolova, Elizaveta Odinartseva, Anna Filippova, Angelina Garbuzova.

The second day of work became particularly interesting, as the crew of Bronnitsy News TV channel (youth program Zebra) and journalist Ksenia Novozhilova, a graduate of our university, visited the students. She spoke about the intricacies of video filming, editing and preparing a report for the air, and discussed video production technology with the guys on examples of video footage of the university’s student television. Ksenia said that she was very pleased to plunge into student life again, because she was a member of the first PROmotion School, and this was for her the starting point in the choice of professional activity.

It’s time to sum up. The results of the knowledge test pleased the organizers: 11 out of 30 participants completed it without errors. Nine students were awarded with thanks and books. These are freshmen of the Department of Culture and Art Anastasia Shcheglova, Daria Abramchik and Maria Volina; first-year student of the department of service and tourism Anastasia Kuptsevich; sophomores Alina Galkina (design department) and Natalia Glushkova (faculty of social and humanitarian education); freshmen Veronika Fomenko (faculty of fine art and design), Manuk Nazaryan (department of physical culture and sports) and Stepan Ziborov (technological department).

School participants created three social projects: on the All-Russian action #STOPHIVAIDS, timed to the World AIDS Day, on the prevention of smoking, drugs, alcohol and other addictions, and the patriotic project timed to The Victory Day. They will be implemented by the participants together with the joint council.

What did the school give to its graduates?

“In 2017, I was fortunate enough to become a member of the School of student activists" PROmotion ". In 2018, I became a coach. This is an unforgettable experience! We tried to inspire the guys by our example, to show that there are many prospects and opportunities. I want to wish all the participants not to stand still and move only forward, energizing those who are close. ”

“The asset school was very interesting and useful. I liked the business games and tasks. The most interesting and difficult task is, of course, the project of the event, I wanted to give it a little more time to complete it.
