Thanks to the cooperation agreement with Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of, the implementation of the student academic exchange program continues. Academy students Ulzhan Yelmuratova and Raimbek Yermen studied at Gzhel University for a semester. Returning home, they, according to tradition, shared their impressions.
Ulzhan Elmuratova:
“I really liked it here. I believe that teachers have brought us to a new professional level. For the first time in my life, I was able to cast my own porcelain, I became acquainted with the traditional Gzhel painting. In the special design classes, we worked on a tea set project. I first worked on a gypsum model machine, it is very interesting. A new skill for me was painting on raw enamel, tried to paint with salts.
I want to thank the teachers for their work, for the fact that they were able to give us so much useful information and necessary skills. Special thanks are due to G. P. Moskovskaya, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, O. A. Pervozvanskaya, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Decorative and Applied Arts. Olga Antonovna always found time to deal with us additionally, she introduced us to Gzhel majolica, with various technologies for the production of ceramics.
I like that the university always cares about the welfare and safety of its students, organizes free visits to museums, theaters and exhibitions in Moscow and the Moscow region. This contributes to the development of the spiritual world of students.
Unfortunately, I was not able to participate in various competitions that are held at the university, but I hope that this will be possible in the future. Many interesting people study and work at this university, which I will remember with warmth in my soul. ”
Raimbek Yermen:
“It was easy and fun to learn. For the first time in my life, I tried working on a potter’s machine, casting plaster, working with porcelain. At the production technology classes we worked with chamotte clay. The teacher V.P. Sidorov, who lectured us, knows how to interest students, he motivated us to be creative, talked about his experience, was always ready to help with the work.
Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design G. P. Moskovskaya led our design. She taught us the basics of composition, the technique of drawing porcelain products. But most of all I liked such items as “Ceramics Decoration” and “Special Design”. We were introduced to traditional Gzhel ceramics. I was able to work with various types of decorating techniques (glazes, pigments, oxides, etc.)
The teacher O.A. Pervozvanskaya always found time to additionally work with us, tried to give her students more, support, cheer up.
Wherever I went, I always heard a friendly one: “Here are students from Kazakhstan!” At the university I attended sports clubs in the evening, I was lucky to take part in inter-faculty volleyball competitions and in an open volleyball tournament of educational institutions dedicated to the anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet troops near Moscow. University team ranked first!
Six months passed quickly, but they became a great lesson in my life. Thanks for all!"
