From December 3rd to December 10th, 2018, a freshman week took place at Gzhel University College, within the framework of which Olympiads and quizzes were organized in the disciplines of the general education cycle.
The activities are aimed at increasing the motivation of the learning activities of first-year students, identifying the most talented and gifted and engaging students in olympiad movements. The participants of these events were students of 13 groups.
College lecturer, head of the department of construction and computer science A. A. Sakharova prepared a quiz on computer science. The guys gave definitions of concepts from computer science by prompts, solved a crossword puzzle, interpreted the information presented in the programming language, etc.
Candidate of Historical Sciences O.A. Ischenko has developed for the students of specialties Hospitality, Economics and Accounting, Tourism, Law and the organization of social welfare the intellectual game "Legal Olympus". The game was timed to the celebration of the Constitution Day of the Russian Federation (December 12). During the game, students were divided into teams, which then performed assignments for knowledge of the Constitution: based on the main law of the Russian Federation, they compiled test tasks for opponents, solved situational tasks on determining the rights of citizens and their violations, etc. The game ended with the writing of an essay on the topic “The Right to Life”.
Higher qualification teacher V. V. Leleko conducted a literature quiz with the students of specialties Design and Painting, dedicated to the 215th anniversary of F. I. Tyutchev. The guys made up the family tree of the poet, picked up rhymes, continued the lines from Tyutchev’s famous works, read the author’s favorite poems.
The organizer of the events was also attended by E. K. Lazareva, who held the Olympiad in Social Studies, and the candidate of economic sciences M. V. Tanigina (Olympiad in Economics). Lecturers E.Yu. Vorontsova and L.A. Lazuto conducted the olympiad in mathematics, and M.V. Kazakov in geography.
First-year students with great interest to perform tasks Olympiads and quizzes. The best teams and the strongest students of the Olympic freshman week will be awarded diplomas.
