On December 20th, 2018, the Deputy Chairman of Moscow Regional Duma I. V. Chistyukhin conducted the class for first-year students of the Faculty of Economics and Management on the following topics: “Anti-corruption restrictions in the sphere of state and municipal service” and “Forms and types of responsibility for corrupt behavior.

Igor Vasilyevich, using examples of specific situations, explained to students the essence of anti-corruption programs of state bodies and local governments, focusing on the main manifestations of corruption in the civil service system and how to counter this process. He described the principles of procurement and corruption components in the conduct of public procurement. Students actively discussed the proposed situations.

On handouts, documents of the Moscow Regional Duma, the students got acquainted with the laws and regulations, the provisions on the topics of classes and learned a lot of useful information.

I.V. Chistyukhin also spoke about the work of the regional parliament and Duma committees, dwelling in detail on how draft laws are created, how the procedure for introducing laws is being considered, and gave examples of corruption-related factors.

In conclusion, the students were given a tour of the Moscow Regional Duma, which in 2018 turned 25 years old. The children were impressed by the museum of mementoes, which keeps souvenirs from different regions of our multinational country and foreign countries. The students visited the meeting room of the Duma factions, the press center for journalists, the plenary hall and other working rooms of the Duma.
