R. A. Bobotov took part in Russian cultural mission in Paris
From 5th to 10th February 2019 in Russian Spiritual and Cultural Center, which was built in Paris by the project of famous French architect Jean Michel Vilmont and opened in 2016 with the direct participation of Russia, the “Cultural Mission from Russia” was held. The project is being implemented with the support of Rossotrudnichestvo, Russian Embassy in France, Russian Association for International Cooperation and other organizations, as well as Russian compatriots abroad. Representatives of various Russian regions took part in it: artists, writers, artists, cinematographers. Among them was the employee of GSU, R. A. Bobotov, who performed photographic and video shooting for the film “Cultural missions from Russia”.
The videographer had a lot of work. On the Center territory there are Cathedral of the Holy Trinity and the buildings of the diocesan administration with a concert hall, living quarters, a Russian-French school, an exhibition center. On the first day, the presentation of the book “The Russian Tsarina – Evdokia Lukyanovna Streshneva” by Ramenskoe writers S. P. Shukshina and V. N. Alekseeva, published in the publishing house “The Edge of Success”, took place. Parisians took a special interest in exhibits telling about the art of Gzhel masters and the activities of Gzhel State University. The exhibition of works by Russian artists, which featured portraits, landscapes, icons and sculptures, was a great success with Parisians. The French guests were able to watch the documentary “The Crimean Bridge”.
Within the framework of the business program, the Trade Representation of Russia organized thematic sessions on interregional cooperation between Russia and France, including on the promotion of Russia’s economic, cultural and tourist potential.
The program of the trip was also familiarity with the activities of the Albatross film studio, which was created in Paris in the 20s of the last century by Russian film immigrants and became a real gem of the French Cinematheque. The history and culture of our countries is closely connected.
It is planned to expand the geography of the project “Cultural missions from Russia”, attracting representatives of various Russian regions to participate in it. The video film that R. A. Bobotov is working on will be of great importance for the expansion of Russian-French cultural cooperation.
