Visit of «Russian World» Foundation Director V. V. Kochin
The purpose of visit of «Russian World» Foundation Executive Director V.V. Kochin and his advisor S.V. Skryabin was to get acquainted with GSU, conditions of study and life of its foreign students.
The Foundation was established in 2007 by Decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Its founders are Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Education of RF. The objectives of the fund include: cooperation with Russian, foreign and international organizations, educational and cultural institutions to popularize the Russian language and culture; export support of Russian educational services; facilitating expert, scientific and educational exchanges, etc. Russian World implements programs aimed at enhancing student exchange in Russia and foreign countries. In 2017, the foundation paid for the transfer of future artists from El Salvador to GSU.
In the class of O. Pervozvanskaya, a senior lecturer, the foundation managers were able to see how students from Latin America work and study.
By tradition, guests who visited GSU for the first time were introduced to the history of university. Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design G. P. Moskovskaya conducted an excursion on workshops, spoke about the exhibits presented in Museum of Decorative and Applied Arts.
At the round table with the rector of GSU, Professor B. V. Ilkevich V. V. Kochin noted the leading role of university in the training of specialists in the field of decorative and applied art, ceramics, sculpture for the Republic of El Salvador and other countries. During the conversation, important issues of expanding cooperation with educational and cultural organizations of foreign countries, recruitment of students for the new academic year, features of the educational process, etc. were touched upon.
The university is increasing every year the number of foreign students enrolled in various areas of training, including students from El Salvador and Guatemala, who study at Faculty of Fine Arts and Design. GSU develops friendly relations with representatives of state and educational organizations, creative figures of Latin American countries. For the implementation of international educational and cultural projects, agreements have been concluded with educational institutions of Guatemala, El Salvador, Cuba.
Collaboration is expanding.
