Historical and patriotic expeditions to the cities of Moscow region. Krasnogorsk
The university pays great attention to the military-patriotic education of youth. A tradition in our educational institution was trips to places of military glory. On September 25th, 2019, students visited the Memorial Museum of German Anti-Fascists in Krasnogorsk and Museum Line of Glory in Snegiri.
The memorial museum of German anti-fascists in Krasnogorsk is the only one in Russia, the main theme of the exposition of which was the coverage of the life and activities of prisoners of Second World War.
Students saw collections of German signs and awards, Soviet and German uniforms, and personal weapons. The museum also features photographs, leaflets, and newspaper selections. Museum workers suggested watching videos, and we unanimously chose a film about the battle of Stalingrad. The viewing made a big impression.
The next excursion - to the memorial complex “Frontier of Glory” in the village of Snegiri. Here, at 41 km of the Volokolamsk highway, the last frontier passed, on which German troops advancing to Moscow were stopped. Evidence of these events is collected in the Lenin-Snegirevsky Military History Museum. On the territory of the museum there is a memorial complex "To Siberian Warriors". On the memorial plaques of the memorial, the memory of two armies, 26 divisions, six rifle brigades is immortalized, as well as a list of 19 Siberian soldiers awarded the title Heroes of the Soviet Union during the battle of Moscow. We laid flowers at the monument to Siberians - the defenders of Moscow.
In the open-air museum, you can see tanks and artillery pieces from the time of the war, a memorial to Soviet soldiers, a monument to the fallen inhabitants of the surrounding villages. The Lenin-Snegirevsky Military History Museum presents unique trophy exhibits, military equipment, personal items of war veterans, weapons, letters and photographs.
We were very impressed with the trip, we learned a lot of interesting things about the Great Patriotic War, the heroism of the soldiers and civilians who defended Moscow from the Nazi troops.
Thank you for the opportunity to touch the history of our country!
