On September 27th, 2019, a meeting of student asset with GSU Acting Rector N. N. Uvarova and the university leadership in GSU conference hall was held.
The event was attended by Vice-Rector for educational work Yu. V. Dementieva, head of social work department, E.P. Sukhodolova, Deputy Director of GSU college for social work G I. Khristenko.
Acting Rector N.N. Uvarova told students about the prospects for development of the university, about the existing education system in the levels and directions of higher education, specialties of secondary vocational education, about the features of the organization of the educational process and extracurricular activities.
The meeting participants asked questions and made suggestions on issues of interest to them: such as distance learning, landscaping the campus, checking into a hostel, etc.
At the meeting, the head of Media Centre N. Yu. Shagova spoke about the activities of the university’s student television. The relevance of work in this direction is due to the fact that in modern society it is difficult to meet a person who, having free access to the Internet, does not use the unlimited sources of information that the network provides. Therefore, this area of activity is especially interesting for young people; university and college students join the work of the media center.
The head of GSU Sports Club P. S. Kozhukhov prepared a video about the main achievements of our athletes. The main objective of the club is the development of mass sports. Therefore, GSU has various sports sections, games, championships, competitions are held.
Participation in the work of Joint Council of Students enables each student to prove themselves, to reveal their abilities. The chairman of the media center Andrei Geraltovsky and the head of volunteer club, Stepan Ziborov, spoke about the skills and experience that they gained through working on the board.
At the end of the meeting, the chairman of the joint student council, E. D. Shishkova, spoke about the activities planned for this academic year and answered students’ questions.
