The university continues to strengthen both educational and creative international relations in the field of education, culture and art.
On December 24th, 2019, a piano concert by a student of the Sorbonne (France) Clemence Charlene Anastasia Azra was held in GSU assembly hall.
Clemence graduated from the Rachmaninoff International Conservatory in Paris, in her homeland she became a laureate of the 2017, 2018 and 2019 young talent competition, as well as an international competition at the Russian Cultural Center in Paris.
The program, which she prepared for students and teachers of the university, sounded the works of I. S. Bach, L. Beethoven, F. Chopin, P. I. Tchaikovsky, A. N. Scriabin.
The lecturer of GSU, photographer and traveler Georges Azra announced the performance of the French pianist. In addition, he introduced the audience to the work of composers, whose works were performed on stage, and talked about how in France they celebrate Christmas, which falls on a new style on December 24th. In the video, which Georges Azra presented to the attention of the audience, those present saw festive Paris with Christmas trees in squares and Christmas markets.
The performance of the French guests was warmly received and created a good mood on the eve of the New Year holidays.
