On February 18th in Lyubertsy art gallery opened the exhibition "The origins of creativity and skill", which presents the work of GSU lecturers and students.
On an area of 500 square meters more than 280 works are exhibited: works of artistic ceramics (porcelain, earthenware, chamotte, clay plastic), painting, graphics, sculpture, art objects.
The initiator and organizer of the exhibition is the member of the Union of Artists of Russia Prof. O. B. Myshlyaeva, head of GSU chair of fine art and folk art culture. The idea of holding such an event appeared two years ago. The idea was put into practice together with the director of Lyubertsy art gallery A. Yu. Kostrova and director of the museum and exhibition complex T. Yu. Kryukova. On February 6th fourth-year students of GSU Institute of Fine Arts and Design began assembling the exposition space. The necessary skills in the placement and demonstration of the exposition were given by the professors of the chair of decorative and applied art and design M. A. Smirnova and A. V. Kotyshov. Their experience allowed students to practice the design of the exhibition space and evaluate their capabilities in organizing exhibition activities. Specialists of the departments of fine art and folk art culture, arts and crafts and design took an active part in organizing the expositions: members of the Moscow Union of Artists, associate professors G.V. Dudnikova and A.A. Dudnikov, candidate of art history, associate professor N.V. Shtolder, member of the Union of Artists of Russia and the International Art Fund, associate professor Ch. M. Tsvetkova, teacher of the art department, sculptor O. A. Rybkin and others.
The vice-rector for educational and methodical work I.R. Pozdnyakova spoke at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, noting that the creative ideas embodied in the work of teachers, students and graduates of the university are unique, as they reflect the connection of the past with current trends of our days. A retrospective exhibition is a kind of analysis and a modern interpretation of old traditions.
A variety of works in the field of ceramics performed over the past five to seven years were presented in the exhibition hall for viewing. Visitors can also get acquainted with painting, sculpture, projects of art objects. Part of the expositions is the result of final qualification works of students.
I.R. Pozdnyakova thanked the museum management for the opportunity to organize the exhibition, noting the importance of events that allow developing the widest palette of humanitarian ties and developing human contacts.
Director of GSU Institute of Fine Arts and Design, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, member of the Union of Designers of Russia, Associate Professor G.P. Moskovskaya told the guests about the history of the development of art and industrial education in Gzhel.
The attention of the guests was attracted by the master classes that were held for them by the associate professor I.V. Korshunova and the lecturer of the art department V.V. Bolshakov.
The exhibition "Sources of creativity and craftsmanship" was not only the result of fruitful cooperation between Gzhel University and Lyubertsy Art Gallery, but also a notable event in the cultural life of the Moscow Region.
