There are 260 foreign students from 20 countries of the world in the student family of the university. The XIII International Festival of National Cultures “We study in Russia” on December 14, 2022 again gathered students from different countries at our university. This year the festival was dedicated to the Year of Cultural Heritage and the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. The festival participants were students of our university, as well as students of the State Humanitarian and Technological University (Orekhovo-Zuyevo), the Institute of Foreign Languages of the Peoples Friendship University of Russia, the State Academic University for the Humanities. The choreographic group «Sovechera» of the House of Culture «Kuzyaevsky» of the Ramensky urban district participated as guests in the festival.

Vice-Rector for Educational Activities and Youth Policy A.S. Kanyuk and Chairman of the Committee for Culture and Tourism of the Administration of the Ramensky City District M.G. Rohatina addressed the participants and guests of the festival.

The jury members had a difficult task, because they had to evaluate the creative numbers of students who represented the culture of 12 countries of the world: Armenia, Bangladesh, Belarus, Vietnam, the Dominican Republic, China, Cuba, El Salvador, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Russia and Uzbekistan.

The preparation of students was evaluated by a professional jury: Vice-Rector for Educational Activities and Youth Policy, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Russian Academy of Education A.S. Kanyuk; Chairman of the Committee for Culture and Tourism of the Administration of the Ramenskoye City District M. G. Rogatina; director of the Gzhel Childrens Art School, winner of the first prize of international competitions for opera singers of the New Names Foundation, winner of the title «Singer of the Year» at international festivals of opera singers Hungary - 2012, Spain - 2013, winner of the award «For the preservation and development of national culture and traditions « V. V. Steshova; French scientist, photographer, traveler Georges Azra; businessman A. M. Kurbanov. For almost four hours, a real theatrical performance took place on the stage of the assembly hall, including Russian folk songs, and carols in the Moldavian language, Vietnamese, Bangladeshi and Chinese dances, a Caribbean party, Armenian and Uzbek folk dances, a wedding ceremony, a bride price and a childbirth ceremony, Belarusian and Bashkir poems. Bright folk costumes and accessories gave the festival a unique, national flavor. Of great interest was the display of the authors collection of dresses by a 4th year student of the Folk Artistic Culture direction Madina Tillaeva «Colors of Uzbekistan - traditions and modernity.» Teacher of the Institute of Fine Arts and Design O. A. Pervozvanskaya presented part of the collection of national costumes “For the Glory of Russia!” his mother Elena Mikhailovna - the keeper of folk traditions. Womens costumes from the Ryazan, Oryol and Moscow provinces were presented. Of course, there was also a competition of national dishes, in which the participants cooked Uzbek pilaf, bread with chicken (Dominican style), Turkmen fish, gatlamu, pishme, Russian loaf, Belarusian potato pancakes, chak-chak, baursak, gata, Tajik orzuk, kurutob, gagaldak, samsu and much more. How wonderful that there is a festival where people from different countries gather, talk about their culture, acquaint friends and teachers with unique national customs. In the modern world, the unity of the youth of all countries is more important than ever in the face of new threats to humanity: the revival of fascism, the threat of terrorism and extremism! We oppose peace, friendship and solidarity to these black forces!
