The best students were honored at GSU! The university hosted the awards ceremony of the intra-university stage of the annual national award «Student of the Year - 2022».

72 best students received awards in 10 nominations of the competition: «Grand Prix Major League», «Student Leader of the Year», «Public Activity of the Year», «Creative Personality of the Year», «Prospect of the Year», «Volunteer of the Year», «Foreign Student of the Year» ”, “Student Science”, “Athlete of the Year”, “Professional of the Year”.

The brightest and most outstanding students were congratulated by the Rector of the Gzhel State University D.S. Somov, the Head of the Ramensky Urban District V.V. Nevolin, Deputy Chairman of the Moscow Regional Duma, Head of the A Just Russia for Truth faction, I.V. Chistyukhin, Chairman of the Committee for Sports and Youth Policy L. V. Savin, Vice-Rector for Educational Activities and Youth Policy A. S. Kanyuk, Vice-Rector for Research N. V. Osipova.

“Each student has his own charisma, his own character. They are young, active and fearless: they are not afraid to perform on stage, play in KVN, participate in competitions. An important quality for a student is diligence: the desire to learn and achieve high results, ”wrote the Head of the District, V.V. Nevolin, in his blog.

The Russian national award «Student of the Year» is a unique competitive and educational project for students of educational institutions of the Russian Federation who have special achievements in educational, scientific, sports, creative and social life.

The organizers of the Prize are the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, the Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization «Russia - a Land of Opportunities» and the All-Russian Public Organization «Russian Union of Youth».

The award was established in 2014 and is implemented in more than 70 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. It has been held at our university since its foundation. During this time, more than 700 students have become laureates of the university stage of the award. We are especially proud of the activists, athletes and talents who represented Gzhel State University at the regional and all-Russian stages of the national award «Student of the Year». In 2016, 2017 and 2020, 11 students of our university reached the final of the competition. In 2016, Valentina Tsutsura became a finalist in the Student Leader nomination, and Maria Ivanova, our multiple champion of Russia, Europe, and the World, was among the finalists in the Athlete of the Year nomination.
