On February 6, the traditional Donor Day was held at Gzhel State University as part of the “Give a Drop of Life” campaign with the support of the Moscow Regional Blood Station.
More than 100 teachers, staff and students of GSU came to donate blood to support patients in particular need. The collected blood will go to regional clinical hospitals and military hospitals.
The GSU Volunteer Club has a special role in organizing Donor Days at the university. Student volunteers conduct registration, help in loading and unloading medical equipment, preparing classrooms, organizing tea parties.
This time, 76 people were allowed to donate blood for health reasons. At the end of the campaign, more than 40 liters of blood were sent to the Moscow Regional Blood Transfusion Station.
