Since September 1, within the framework of the program "Student chooses - traditions, creativity, success", implemented in 2017 with financial support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, second-year students of the direction of preparation People`s Art Culture Xenia Afonina and Antonina Burdyugova went for semester education in Minsk , and from Belarus arrived sophomore specialty Folk Crafts Margarita Chuduk and Tatiana Andreichikova. Before returning to Minsk, Belarusian students shared their impressions.
On the day of arrival, the representatives of the State University met us in Moscow and provided transportation to comfortably reach the hostel. They settled us in a cozy room, where at that time students from Kazakhstan and Belarus already lived. Soon we became close friends with them.
In the early days we were introduced to the history of the Gzhel craft, conducted an excursion around the museum of the university, showed workshops and training classes, told what we will do during the semester. The students of the group, in which we were identified, tried to help in everything.
The learning process did not cause any special difficulties, it was conducted in a quality and accessible manner, in a creative atmosphere. Teachers treated us with understanding and care, actively helped to master the material. We are grateful to the teachers of the University G.P. Moskovskaya (design), S.V. Oleinikov (academic sculpture), E. V. Platov (academic drawing), E. Vasilenko (academic painting), I.V. Korshunova (history arts) for interesting modern methods and technologies of teaching.
We attended all classes with interest, but especially fascinated with what is associated with the creation of Gzhel ceramics. In the classes on the basics of production mastery, we got acquainted with the process of making ceramic products - from creating a gypsum mold to a finished product. Teacher of this discipline O.A. Pervozvanskaya wants to express special gratitude for the high skill and creativity, the ability to lead to an independent solution of the task. The lessons of Olga Antonovna in the workshops are very fascinating, they contribute to the creation of creative works.
We spent a lot of time in the university`s training and production workshops and can not help but note that all the conditions for work have been created in them: in spacious rooms modern equipment, quality materials and tools. All this helped to plunge into the creative working atmosphere. During the training, it was possible to create plaster models and molds, which we used later for the manufacture of ceramic products by casting and firing. As a result, we managed to create our own ceramic products, bringing to our university painted decorative ceramic vases and birds, created in the technique of majolica.
In our free time, we often went to Moscow - walked along the streets of the city, got acquainted with the sights. For the first time visited Red Square, visited the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum of Modern Art.
The University gave us the opportunity to see the performance "Cyrano de Bergerac" at the Moscow Provincial Theater, which did not leave any of the spectators indifferent.
Another bright event will remain in memory - the International Festival "We Learn in Russia", which is annually held at Gzhel University. The festival was attended by students from near and far abroad. It was very nice to introduce my country. Thanks to the festival, we managed to get acquainted with the national cultures of different nations of the world, to find new friends.
I would like to express my gratitude to the organizers of the program for the exchange of students from different countries N.V. Barkalova (Head of the Department of International Relations of the State University), G.P. Moskovskaya (Dean of the Faculty of Decorative and Applied Art and Design of the State University) and N.V. Karchevskaya (Dean of the Faculty traditional Belarusian culture and modern arts of the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts) for the opportunity to study at the Gzhel State University.
During the training we received new knowledge and skills, vast experience and positive emotions that will certainly be useful to us in the future both in everyday life and in the future profession
