From February, 23rd to March, 1st, 2018, the university delegation visited the capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan to develop international relations with educational institutions in Tashkent.

One of the first educational institutions that we visited was the P. P. Benkov Republican Art College – the leading institution of secondary professional education in the field of arts and crafts, which provides training in 16 specialties (painting, graphics, ceramics, lacquer miniature, carving on wood, carpet weaving, etc.). The management (the director U.B. Bakimov, his deputies S.H. Egamov and Zh. B. Kholmukhamedov) and the teachers of the college expressed interest in the implementation of bilateral educational programs, the organization of industrial practice in the training and production workshops of the University of Gzhel, and the upgrading of the teaching staff.

In the assembly hall Prof. B.V. Ilkevich presented the activity of the university and creative works of the university students, told about the requirements for admission to college and university, and the associate professor of the department of general professional art disciplines, candidate of pedagogical sciences, member of the Union of Artists of Russia I.V. Korshunova held a master class on Gzhel painting.

At the invitation of S.R. Buhairova, director of the Training Center "ALFAKOM", which prepares for admission to higher educational institutions, B.V. Ilkevich met with future applicants and their parents. The meeting discussed the conditions for studying and living in a hostel, entrance tests, the possibility of training both on a budget and on a fee basis.

At the meeting with the Chairman of the Board A. Aristov and the employees of the Russian Cultural Center of Uzbekistan, a public organization that has its branches in all regions of the country, a master class on the Gzhel painting was held and the head of GSU art school №. 2 N.A. Ilkevich told about the history of Gzhel folk art.

The A.A. Khodjataev Republican College of Design especially drew attention to the products of arts and crafts made by students. In the halls, sewing, carving, and ceramics were exhibited. It turned out that the college has large training workshops with electric ovens, in which the burning of porcelain products is possible. The conversation between N.V. Barkalova, the head of GSU international relations department and N.S. Murodov, the director of the college, M.S. Salahiddinov, the deputy director on educational work, confirmed the interest in joint work in the field of culture, education and art. The heads of the college expressed their desire to improve the qualifications of their teachers at the University of Gzhel and accepted an invitation to participate in the International Festival "Artistic Ceramics", which will take place at the University of Gzhel in May 2018.
