Head of the Department of International Relations N.V. Barkalova, students of the Faculty of Decorative and Applied Art and Design Maria Krylova and Ekaterina Lonshakova took part in the International Festival of Creativity ART-Fest, which took place from March 15th – 17th, 2018 in the Minsk State Gymnasium-College of Arts.
The festival is timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of this educational institution and brought together educators from Belarus, Russia and Lithuania. According to the director of the college L.A. Mitsura, the festival ART-Fest is the start of the project "100", which is realized by the anniversary and includes various directions of creative activity - from exhibitions to master classes.
ART-Fest is a festival of traditions and innovation, ideas and discoveries, meetings with new and old kind friends! Gzhel University traditionally cooperates with educational institutions of Belarus in the field of education, science and creativity, including with the Minsk State Gymnasium-College of Arts. Thanks to joint scientific and creative projects, the experience of teachers and students of Gzhel University and Belarusian higher and secondary professional educational institutions in the field of arts and crafts and education is shared.
Within the framework of the festival ART-Fest, the International Pedagogical Conference "From Traditions to Modernity through Experience of Excellence" was held, at which N.V. Barkalova, presented the activity of Gzhel University. At the festival was an exhibition of the works of university students. The master class on Gzhel painting, which was demonstrated by the students of the Department of Applied Art and Design Maria Krylova and Ekaterina Lonshakova, who are enrolled in the program of academic exchange at the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts, aroused great interest of the guests and participants of the holiday.
The festival became a platform for the presentation of the best student works, the propagation of arts and crafts of different countries, the exchange of experience and the formation of new creative contacts.
