In Gzhel State University, the official closing of the XXXV International Festival of Children, Youth and Student Creativity "Blue Bird of Gzhel - 2018" took place. On April 13th and 14th, 2018 in the assembly hall of the university, a competitive review of the works in the nomination "Choreography" of the XXXV International Festival of Children, Youth and Student Creativity "Blue Bird Gzhel-2018" was completed, which was attended by teams from organizations of preschool, secondary and higher vocational education Moscow City, Moscow and other regions. More than 100 teams performed at the university for two competitive days.

The festival opened on April 5th, 2018. On the first three days: on April 5th, 6th, 7th, participants took part in the nominations "Art word", "Literary-musical composition", "Theater creativity", "Music performance", "Vocal creativity" . An exhibition of works of arts and crafts, design and painting was opened.

The jury of the competition of choreographic mastery included: Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, soloist of the State Academic Choreographic Ensemble "Berezka" V.M. Norakidze; soloist of the Bolshoi Ballet, teacher-choreographer, member of the jury of international and all-Russian choreographic competitions S.S. Gromov; choreographer, President of the International Federation of Argentine Tango, Yu.A. Deev; master of sports in gymnastics trainer-teacher of children’s and youth sports school № 1 Ramenskoye G.O. Purkaeva; Head of the Department of International Relations of GSU, candidate of philological sciences N.V. Barkalova.

GSU rector, Prof. B.V. Ilkevich, spoke at the opening of the nomination. Boris Vladimirovich congratulated the participants of the festival and wished everyone good luck and success in realizing their creative potential. With words of welcome to the contestants and spectators, the vice-chairman of the Moscow Regional Duma I.V. Chistyukhin addressed. Igor Vasilievich congratulated everyone on the festive event, noting that this festival is an excellent opportunity to show oneself, to exchange experience, in order to understand what you are good at and move on. The guest of the festival was also Deputy Chairman of the Education Committee of the Ramensky District Ya. A. Aivazova. Yana Andreevna expressed gratitude to the organizers of the festival for contributing to the event, noting that there are no losers in the festival - everyone who came to "The Blue Bird of Gzhel" is already the winner.

Many participants came to support their parents, friends and leaders. Diverse performances could not but please viewers. People’s collectives, variety ensembles, solo performers took part in the festival.

The jury noted the choreographic collective "Moskvichata" of the Moscow school № 1586, who performed the Russian folk dance "Kalinka", for the coherence and vivid performance. A great impression was left by the folk choreographic group "Girls" from Orekhovo-Zuevo, performing the sailor’s dance "Yablochko", and the collective of the House of Culture of Cherusti "Cherusti Dance", which demonstrated modern choreography.
