The results of the All-Russian subject online Olympiads "Erudite" and "Profkonkurs" and the All-Russian Competition on Pedagogy were summarized which were held in March and April 2018. Students of GSU College took an active part in them and showed excellent results. In the All-Russian competition "Theoretical Pedagogics", first-degree diplomas were awarded to Elena Pshenitsyna, a fourth-year student of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Education, and Maria Petrova and Anna Teltevskaya, third year students of the design department.
The fourth-year student of the design department Maria Proshkina won first place in the All-Russian Olympiad in Pedagogy "Psychology of Education" and the third place in the All-Russian Olympiad in pre-school pedagogy. Anna Antipova (design department, fourth year) and Irina Zabolotnya (department of culture and art, fourth year) are on the second place in the preschool pedagogical Olympiad; diplomas of the third degree were awarded to the second year students of the design department Zhanna Deruzhinskaya and Maria Ivanova and fourth-year students of the department of culture and art Tikhon Somov and Victoria Somova. Victoria took third place also in the All-Russian Olympiad in law, in second place - her classmate Irina Zabolotnaya.
A fourth-year student of design department Veronika Levina took the second place in the All-Russian Olympiad in Pedagogy "Fundamentals of Pedagogical Excellence" and the third place in the All-Russian Olympiad in pre-school pedagogy.
She explained her desire to take part in two Olympiads:
"Olympics in pedagogy are important as a test of their strength and knowledge. I plan to conduct teaching activities, so it is important for me to understand how competent I am. By the way, it was the Olympics that spurred the further development of this profession!"
The field of professional activity of the graduates of the departments of culture and art and design is determined by two main types: creative and pedagogical. They receive the qualification of a designer (sculptor-artist, head of an amateur creative team), and a teacher. Students pass the pedagogical practice in GSU`s own art schools: they help teachers in the preparation of classes, participate in the development of visual aids and handouts, get acquainted with the documentation, and conduct classes independently.
"The school of the future (especially professional) is waiting for the elite, the best part of society," Tikhon Somov said. "In my opinion, the Olympics are an opportunity to try our hand at creativity."
"I never wanted to be a teacher, but as they say, you will not try - you will not know! - says Maria Proshkina. - During the practice I realized that at the present time the children are interested in new technologies, various electronics, and tried to use it in class. It’s interesting to work with children! "
Anna Antipova also had bright impressions of pedagogical practice:
"Absolutely inexpressible sensation, when children accept you, give out the material you taught them! I was even sorry to part with them when the practice came to an end. But, to become a good professional, you need to expand your horizons, develop yourself. Participation in olympiads and competitions is an excellent opportunity for this. "
About the way students prepared for the Olympics and competitions, says the teacher of the design department E. S. Akav:
"After registration, the guys eagerly awaited assignments. They independently studied additional literature, used the Internet, of course, in preparation. I think that students want to see their relevance, they need to know that they are part of an intellectual community, have the opportunity to compare their achievements with the successes of others, so they are not limited to attending classes, but try to show their creative, intellectual abilities, participating in olympiads and contests different levels ".
Congratulations to the winners of the All-Russian Olympiads and competitions!
We wish you success!
